NSW: Planning Minister Craig Knowles caught drink driving

New South Wales Planning Minister CRAIG KNOWLES has been caught drink driving.

The 46-year-old has been charged after being stopped by police at a Random Breath Test
site in Beverly Hills, in Sydney's south-west, about 11.45 last night (AEST) and registering
a low-range blood alcohol reading of 0.06.

Mr KNOWLES -- who was on his way home after a farewell for one of his staff members
at a city hotel when he was stopped -- says in a statement he's sorry for his mistake
and takes full responsibility for his actions.

He says he wouldn't have driven if he thought he was over the limit.

Mr KNOWLES -- who says he has broken the law and expects to be treated accordingly
-- will appear in Sutherland local court on April the 21st.
