NSW:Hogan's lawyers to meet ATO on Friday

Lawyers for actor PAUL HOGAN will meet with the Australian Taxation Office this afternoon
in the hope of enabling the Crocodile Dundee star to leave Australia.

70 year-old HOGAN returned to Australia to attend his mother's funeral last week and
has been prevented from leaving under an order by the ATO because of an alleged multi-million
dollar tax bill.

Some media outlets have reported the bill is more than 100 million dollars.

HOGAN'S lawyer ANDREW ROBINSON says the bill is a very large amount but can't confirm
or deny the reported figure because of confidentiality.

Mr ROBINSON says he will try to get the departure prohibition order revoked at today's
meeting so HOGAN can return to his wife and son in the United States.
